The trap or bear trap is an item in BIGFOOT used to stop Bigfoot from being able to move for a few seconds.

Summary

Four traps spawn at the trailer, and they can be rarely found across the map. To place a trap, use [T].

Placed traps deal damage to Bigfoot or players who walk over them. Additionally, they immobilize Bigfoot or cause hunters to tumble. When set off by Bigfoot, the trap will usually break after it is free, although sometimes you will get your trap back, at around a 50% chance. You can safely pick up placed traps with [E], as long as they aren't broken. Traps also get set off if any damage is done to them, similar to explosives. This makes it very hard to place a trap in the fire left by a fuel canister. This also means that if Bigfoot tries to attack you if you're standing next to a trap, his attack could cause the trap to trigger and be unable to trap him.

Damage and Stun

During daytime, traps deal 50 initial damage, and four sets of 5 damage as Bigfoot tries to free himself. This totals to 70 damage during the day, and 54 during the night. In PvP, traps do about have the damage Once Bigfoot gets stuck in a trap, there is a grace period of 20 seconds before he can get the full immobilization penalty again. A fully effective trap stuns Bigfoot for 6 seconds, while an ineffective one stops him for merely 2 seconds. Ineffective traps do not reset the cooldown.
