Locations refer to various POIs (places of interest) in the maps of BIGFOOT.

Summary

Most locations are marked on the map and offer loot with few exceptions. Locations can include waterfalls, trees, caves, villages, cabins, tents, campgrounds, and hunting towers among other similar variations. One of the more unique locations is, for example, the Radio Tower in Redwood Park, as there is no such building on any other map. These POIs stay at the same location every time you play on the same map.

The first time a location is discovered per game, a sound is played and text is shown on screen for the player who discovered it. Its name and map marker then become visible for all other hunters. Player Bigfoot discovers the locations for themselves and cannot see where hunters have been by checking the map, and vice versa.

The trailer is where the players spawn and can get predetermined loot. Players must also all meet here to complete the passive ending / evidence route after taking all required pictures, and in doing so completing the tasks.

Caves serve a purpose as a spawn point for Bigfoot, although he can also spawn out in the open.

Safes are always found inside log buildings (as opposed to outside or in tents, caves, etc.).

There also exist several locations in each map where trees can fall over or rocks can tumble down from a cliff if the player gets too close. The trees generally use the same model and spawn along paths. These are easily avoidable as long as you're not out of sprint. Rock slides tend to be even less dangerous as you can easily run past, and you have to be fairly close to the cliff face to even take damage.
